The Diesel Multijet engines by Fiat is best described as revolutionary in the world of diesel engines. Remember a time when the diesel engines were noisy often less powerful than the petrol ones. Gone are those days with the introduction of Diesel Multijet engines. Fiat today with the advent of the Multijet engine has paved way for fuel efficient, powerful and eco-friendly diesel cars. The diesel auto segment with the introduction of the multijet engines has recieved a new lease of life, people now look at the diesel cars as more fuel efficient and at certain times more powerful than the petrol cars.
Awarded the International Engine of the Year 2005 in the 1.0-1.4-litre category, the multijet engines are the next generation engines with lower combustion levels, high fuel efficiency giving way to a quieter drive with a smiling pocket.
The common rail diesel engine features Multijet technology which uses up to seven injections into the cylinder each time and with electronic control the combustion is optimized to ensure quieter combustion, reduced emissions and increased performance. A predetermined quantity of fuel is injected at multiple points rather than the conventional single point central injection.
These engines also come with a turbocharger, which inject highly compressed air into the ignition chamber of the engine to ensure better combustion of fuel and get more power from the engine.
The compact size and weight of the engine is another asset of the Diesel Multijet engines.
All Fiat Diesel engines now come with the Multijet technology. Which simply means a drive in the new Punto would an absolute joy with just the beats from your speakers dancing on your ears and the power of the engine racing your heart.
I take great joy in writing this post as I enter a world of possibilities with Fiat’s path breaking technology.
Do look at the upgrade offer, a chance to drive the smooth diesel at the price of a petrol engine.
